Responsibilities

  • You will be working on a rota basis within the CT team covering 12-hour days, 08:00-20:00, Monday to Sunday.
  • The aim of this role is to provide high quality, effective Imaging services for the CT department at Mile End Hospital.
  • The post holder will work closely with other CT radiographers and clinical staff of all grades for safe, prompt and effective imaging of outpatients.
  • CT has a crucial role in the provision of primary diagnoses and follow-up in cancer and long term disabling conditions.
  • Patients may present unconscious, un-cooperative, incapacitated, incompetent, or with physical and mental disabilities.
  • Some may exhibit anti-social or threatening behaviour.
  • It is necessary to provide empathy and emotional support to the bereaved, terminally ill, injured and traumatised.
  • The routine working hours for the CT department at Mile End Hospital are 08:00-20:00, Monday Sunday.
  • The post is based at the Mile End Hospital.
