  • Professional Registration List (minimum levels provided)
  • Engineering Technician (EngTech) or
  • Registered Science Technician (RSciTech)
  • Note: Alternatives to RQF listed above (which cover England, Wales and Northern Ireland only), are the Scottish SCQF; or an international equivalent qualification, which must be supported by a statement of comparability from UK ENIC.

Responsibilities

  • Legislation/Policy - Differentiate and comply with relevant legislation, regulation, policy, processes, and standards to deliver technical documentation for an aeronautical or aerospace sub-system. This includes the essential relation to quality, safety, security, and sustainability, of the aeronautical or aerospace sub-system, and the interoperability with other sub-systems
  • Risk - Acts upon identified risk (such as safety, environment, support, financial) and applies the principles of risk escalation and risk transfer
  • Technical Data - Verify and recommend the use of technical data to support the management and maturity of engineering documentation, focusing on successful technical outcomes
  • Stakeholder Management - Collaborate and accommodate integrations with other sub-system teams and specialists, over technical requirements, and design compromises, to maximise successful system implementation and delivery
  • Support - Manage the support and modification to an operational aeronautical or aerospace sub-system
  • Technical Discipline - Provide advice, guidance, and recommendations in relation to aero specialisms
  • You will be responsible for drafting, issuing, and maintaining DT ALE policies and procedures, as well as acting as the DT focal point for the collection, use, and exploitation of Aircraft Health Monitoring Data
  • Key responsibilities include conducting and coordinating regular Working Groups, triaging and allocating technical issues to the appropriate engineering desk and providing ALE SME input to key safety and integrity management forums
  • Additionally, you will provide engineering support to the UK P-8A Depot EA, addressing Depot maintenance issues as they arise and optimising the Depot input process
