What qualifications are required for this Diagnostic Radiographer position?
To apply for this position, you must hold a BSc (Hon) in Diagnostic Radiography or a Diploma of the College of Radiographers (DCR), be registered with the HCPC, and have at least two years of post-graduate NHS hospital experience.
Where will the primary work location be?
The primary work location will be at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, with the opportunity to rotate through the newly established Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Hollinswood House.
What types of imaging will I be involved with in this role?
As a Diagnostic Radiographer, you will work across various areas including theatre imaging and fluoroscopy.
Is there a focus on professional development in this role?
Yes, the department provides full support for training and development, and you will have opportunities for role extension and participation in advanced practice alongside Consultant Radiographers and Consultant Radiologists.
Will there be opportunities to mentor students?

What are the working hours like?
The role includes participation in a busy rotation, which will involve on-call duties and a seven-day working roster.

Yes, all General X-ray and Fluoroscopy rooms at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital have been fully refurbished within the last five years.
