Responsibilities

  • The role holder will provide support to the Degree Committee team who have dual responsibility for Physics & Chemistry and Earth Sciences & Geography and covers the student journey from application through to the award of Degrees.
  • Support for the education team will include tasks around the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Doctoral Training Programme which funds PhD training across all the disciplines of Physical Sciences and Technology, the STEM Widening Participation Internship Scheme and more generally assisting the whole education team as needed, including our Director and Deputy Directors of Education.
  • There will also be the opportunity to support the Faculty Board and various academic promotions schemes.
  • This is a broad role and the role holder will have the opportunity to engage with a variety of processes, activities and colleagues across the School.
