  • The NHS England – Midlands, People Talent and Culture team are seeking a Equality Diversity and Inclusion Deputy Manager to join our regional team working across the whole of the Midlands region.
  • We are looking for a supportive, resilient and confident colleague who will work flexibly in a matrix structure and enjoys contributing to different project work.
  • The role supports the Equality Diversity and Inclusion workstream in the People Talent and Culture team in driving transformation.
  • The role is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery.
  • Liaise with appropriate functions within the regions, organisation, and the Sector.
  • Manage and overall coordination of leader development interventions across the region.
  • Oversight and management of all aspects of the team projects.
  • The postholder will champion equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and be proactive as a member of the team and as a line manager (if applicable) in the promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion to ensure that EDI is embedded into their working culture, behaviour, values and practice.
  • Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
  • Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
  • NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met.
  • To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you’ll usually need to be paid the ‘standard’ salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the ‘going rate’ for your job, whichever is higher.

Responsibilities

  • To deliver on the People Promise and the cultural elements that ensure best practice across the ICBs and addresses the multiple factors that lead reactively and proactively to organisations in SOF
  • To lead the talent management and leadership development strategy for the region
  • To ensure that EDI is embedded across the ICBs in all they do and to act as a centre of excellence for best practice in all cultural elements
  • Liaise with appropriate functions within the regions, organisation, and the Sector
  • Manage and overall coordination of leader development interventions across the region
  • Oversight and management of all aspects of the team projects
