Responsibilities

  • Leading the implementation, maintenance and governance of the Blueteq® High‑Cost Drugs system across ABUHB.
  • Developing robust approval processes for high‑cost medicines in line with national guidelines.
  • Analysing data from software such as the Blueteq® High‑Cost Drugs system to provide strategic financial and clinical insight to Divisions and senior stakeholders.
  • Working closely with clinical teams, finance, digital, pharmacy colleagues and national networks.
  • Providing prescribing support services and supporting implementation of new high‑cost medicines.
  • Working with the homecare team to implement homecare services for high‑cost medicines.
  • Delivering advanced clinical pharmacy services, including ward‑based care and dispensary cover.
  • Line managing the High-Cost Medicines and Prescribing Support technician.
  • Providing education and training for pharmacy staff and wider healthcare professionals.
  • Deputising for the Programme Divisional pharmacists as required.
