What are the working hours for the Junior Nurse Practitioner position?
The duties and responsibilities will be undertaken on a shift and rotation basis, covering our opening hours 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
What age groups will I be working with in this role?
You will be working with patients of all ages, including both adults and children attending the Urgent Treatment Centre.
Will I be working independently or as part of a team?
You will be acting as an independent, autonomous practitioner while also working closely with the senior practitioner team and interdependent departments.
What responsibilities does this role include in terms of patient care?
Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and discharging patients, as well as providing treatment management, health advice, and promoting self-management education.

Yes, the role emphasizes the identification of educational needs and proactive measures to meet those needs, as well as participation in departmental audits and sharing learning with the team.

What tools will I be using to assess and treat patients?
You will be using nationally recognized tools such as NEWS and sepsis screening to assess, treat, and diagnose patients.
