What is the primary focus of the Learning and Development Advisor role?
The primary focus of the Learning and Development Advisor role is to deliver, evaluate, and continually improve mandatory and statutory training programmes across the Trust.
Where is the post holder based?
The post holder is based at the Croydon Training Centre, Bethlem Royal Hospital, with travel to all Trust sites as required.
What types of training will the advisor deliver?
The advisor will deliver core subjects including The Seni Lewis Training Programme, Moving & Handling, Immediate Life Support, Basic Life Support, First Aid, Fire Warden training, and Oliver McGowan Training.
How many teaching days per week are expected?
The role includes 4–5 teaching days per week.
What methods will be used for training delivery?
Training will be delivered using a range of teaching methods across classroom, team-based, virtual, and in-practice environments.
What is included in the assessment process for learners?
The advisor will assess learner competence through a range of competency-based assessment methods to ensure safe practice.
Will the advisor have a role in curriculum development?
Yes, the advisor will contribute to reviewing and updating the MAST curriculum and assist in the design and review of training activities, lesson plans, and presentations.
