What is the primary role of the Mental Health Practitioner in the Triage Role/Assessment position?
The primary role is to act as the first point of contact for new cases, screen incoming referrals to identify needs and risks, manage and assess risk, offer timely assessments, and signpost families and professionals to suitable services and resources.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse, have a Dip SW or equivalent social work qualification (such as CSS, CQSW, or a degree in social work), or be an Allied Health Professional registered with the HCPC and accredited by a HCPC recognised body (e.g., UKCP/BACP).

Yes, the role includes participating in the duty rota and acting as a duty lead.
