Requirements

  • A successful candidate will be able to work with Military Working Dogs with confidence (specialist training is provided), work alongside Military Working Dog Handlers to ensure all animals are maintained to standard, manage a quality service to ensure the Military Working Dogs are cared for.
  • Driving Licence
  • Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check.
  • Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is security check.
  • People working with government assets must complete baseline personnel security standard checks.

  • Kennel Assistant support MWD welfare duties including, but not limited to:
  • Feeding
  • Watering
  • Exercising the MWDs
  • Cleaning of kennels
  • Grooming
  • Welfare checks on MWD behaviours
  • Administering medical treatment.
