What is the required experience for this position?
The successful applicant must have demonstrable experience in the operation and maintenance of engineering services, specifically with a mechanical bias, preferably gained in a healthcare environment.
What are the main responsibilities of this role?
The post-holder will be responsible for maintaining all Mechanical, Electrical, and building infrastructure services, undertaking complex fault diagnosis, maintenance, capital work, and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
Is prior experience with BMS systems essential?
While a sound knowledge of Mechanical systems is essential, knowledge of BMS systems is considered desirable.
What are the shift patterns for this role?
The successful candidate will be required to work shift patterns as part of the position.
Do I need any specific certifications for this role?
Yes, the post holder should have or be trained to hold two Competent Person (CP) duties and one Approved Person (AP) accreditation.
What type of team will I be working with?
You will be working within an engineering team and will also interact directly with both clinical and non-clinical service users, requiring strong communication skills.
