Requirements

  • - Band 3 Neonatal Support Worker qualification or equivalent experience
  • - Competence to undertake and record designated observations and clinical procedures under supervision
  • - Ability to inform and educate women in all aspects of newborn care and postnatal health education
  • - Ability to work collaboratively with the Nursing team and Transitional Care team
  • - Availability to ensure appropriate equipment is provided
  • - Support for midwives in the care of patients
  • - Commitment to family integrated care and support for families in caring for their baby

Responsibilities

  • - Work together with the members of the Nursing team to provide a high standard of care to our babies.
  • - Undertake and record designated observations and clinical procedures under the supervision of the Nursing team.
  • - Inform and educate women in all aspects of newborn care and postnatal health education.
  • - Ensure appropriate equipment is available and support the midwife.
  • - Inform and educate women in all aspects of Ante Natal, intra & Post Natal Health Education.
