What qualifications do I need to apply for the Newly Qualified Nurse position?
You must be completing your adult nursing degree by Summer 2026.
Is the position available for pre-PIN nurses?
Yes, you can apply if you are able to start work as a pre-PIN nurse or as a registered nurse if you receive your NMC PIN after June 2026.
What is the duration of the contracts for the positions available?
There is a 23-month fixed term role in the Oncology Mulbarton Ward and a permanent role in the Weybourne Unit.
Will I receive support as a newly qualified nurse?
Yes, all newly qualified MSc and BSc students will receive a robust preceptorship programme supported by experienced Clinical Education teams.
What type of patients will I be caring for in the Mulbarton Ward?
You will care for patients with cancer, including those needing chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, iodine therapy, and palliative care.
What is the team structure in the ward/department?
You will work with all members of the clinical team within a multi-disciplinary framework and maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse.
