Responsibilities

  • Under minimal supervision, plan, coordinate and assign incoming test requests to meet project schedules, requester expectations and lead time requirements.
  • Follow documented test methods to perform accurate and repeatable tests and reports the results to the requestor.
  • Under guidance of Product Conformance Team, respond to customer and sales inquiries about product compliance to safety standards.
  • Conduct tests according to established documentation and objectives (i.e. MillerKnoll Test Methods, ASTM, BS, EN, etc.)
  • Coordinate the completion of test requests with third party testing facilities
  • At times, facilitate logistics of test samples
  • Assist in the demonstration of tests or explanation of requirements to vendors and or customers
  • Estimate testing time and project cost.
  • Accurately communicate test progress and/or results to internal customers.
  • Analyse test data including but not limited to simple descriptive statistics.
  • Evaluates request tracking and scheduling processes and initiates improvements.
  • Plan day-to-day work to meet project schedules, requester expectations and lead time requirements.
  • Review and approve peer test results and reports.
  • Maintains laboratory equipment and calibration records as necessary
  • Maintain detailed and accurate data as required.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain housekeeping in the lab.
  • Monitors and responds to customer inquiries related to product conformance.
  • Collaborate with U.S. based Conformance Team for guidance and support to maintain inquiries log
  • Ability to make sound decisions without all relevant data present.
  • Maintain confidentiality on projects.
