What are the day-to-day responsibilities of the PSW Coordinator?
The PSW Coordinator assumes full responsibility for the operations of PSWs, monitors care and services, participates in hiring and evaluations, leads PSW meetings, performs audits, and ensures effective communication with residents and their families.
What qualifications are required for the PSW Coordinator position?
Candidates must have graduated from a Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate/Diploma Program, have experience as a PSW in Long-Term Care, and possess knowledge of geriatric resident needs and basic sanitation techniques.
Is additional certification preferred for this position?
Yes, having a Behavioural Support Ontario (BSO) certification and Imagen training is considered an asset.
