What qualifications do I need to apply for the Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner position?
You must hold a recognised Post Graduate Certificate/qualification specifically for the role of Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, or be nearing completion of this qualification within 3 months.
Is registration required for Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners?
Yes, qualified PWPs must have their registration in place or newly qualified staff are required to achieve this within 6 months of qualifying.
What type of therapy will I be delivering in this role?
You will deliver low intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based treatment to individuals with mild to moderate depression and anxiety-related disorders.
What kind of work experience is preferred for this position?
Experience of working in primary care and community settings is preferred, along with the ability to work on your own initiative.
Is there a focus on group work in this position?
Yes, experience in facilitating courses or workshops for patients or community members is ideal, and a willingness to get involved in group delivery is expected.
