What are the working hours for this position?
The working hours for this position are flexible, operating 7 days a week from 8am–2pm and 4pm–10pm.
Is this a full-time or part-time position?
This is a part-time position with a permanent contract of 30 hours per week.
Do I need a driving license for this role?
Yes, a full driving license and vehicle are important to efficiently travel around the Bay to carry out your duties.
What type of training will I receive?
You will receive full training in short-term services, and a uniform will also be provided.
Are there any additional benefits to the pay?
Yes, each shift is paid in full regardless of direct contact time, travel time is also paid at your full hourly rate with a generous mileage allowance, and there are shift enhancements for evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Can I progress in my career while working in this role?
Yes, there are opportunities to rotate through a variety of care settings and progress within the service, including advancement into roles such as the Assistant Practitioner.
Will I be required to work alone?
Yes, you may be required to do lone working within the community as part of a team.

The focus is on maximizing independence and delivering a high standard of care to people in the community, which can include end-of-life care.
How do I report changes in a service user's condition?
You will need to communicate any changes in the service user's needs or circumstances to the appropriate member of the service in a timely manner.
