Responsibilities

  • - Support the expansion of the current infection service including both the Derby and Burton sites
  • - Work flexibly across the Acute Trusts hospital sites (Derby and Burton) as a merged organisation
  • - Deliver a clinically orientated, forward thinking infection service across UHDB
  • - Provide comprehensive diagnostic microbiology services to University Hospitals of Derby and Burton acute Trusts, Derbyshire and Staffordshire general practices and local private healthcare providers
  • - Participate in clinical reporting
  • - Participate in MDTs
  • - Engage in antimicrobial stewardship
  • - Conduct clinical consults
