Responsibilities

  • To work within The Centre for Reproductive Medicine at St Bartholomew’s Hospital.
  • The Centre is an HFEA licensed clinic and undertakes a full range of assisted conception treatments.
  • We are looking for a Registered Nurse to work primarily within our IVF theatre, procedure room and recovery area.
  • This will involve assisting with IVF egg collections and embryo transfers as well as caring for patients pre and post procedures.
  • In addition, duties will involve assisting in Fertility outpatient clinics and in the general care of our patients.
  • The post also involves some administrative duties such as maintenance of stock levels, databases and undertaking audits.

What are the working hours for the Staff Nurse position?

The clinic is open Monday to Friday plus Saturday and Sunday mornings and some bank holidays, with weekends and bank holidays worked on a rota system.

Is previous experience necessary for this role?

No previous experience is necessary; full training will be provided. However, a minimum of 18 months post-registration experience is required, preferably in an acute area.
