Responsibilities

  • You will be expected to assess patients, formulate a management plan and organise relevant investigations in a timely fashion. A senior will be on hand to provide guidance and will be checking in where necessary. You will also be expected to identify acutely unstable patients and raise this concern to seniors and then assist in stabilising these patients. You will have the opportunity to see a variety of patients with varying presenting complaints and of all ages and work in all areas of the department. It is a hugely interesting and rewarding job. You will have opportunities to perfect and learn various procedures relevant to Emergency Medicine. You will work within a multidisciplinary team within the department as well as liaise with different specialities and staff both medical and non-medical therefore good communication skills and team work are essential.
