Responsibilities

  • The post holder will have the operational responsibility and support the Deputy Head of Violence Prevention & Reduction with the day-to-day needs of the service. This will include managing projects in line with the Health Board Violence Prevention Strategy as well as co-ordinating and conducting violence and aggression incidents within the workplace supporting the Deputy Head of Violence Prevention & Reduction and the overall Health & Safety Team.
  • To be responsible for ensuring suitable and sufficient risk assessments are undertaken and recorded whilst acting as a keep point of contact for staff providing them with expert, specialist support in the subject matter. This will include promoting a proactive safety and positive culture across all areas of the organisation.
  • The post holder will develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures which will impact across the whole of the organisation. This includes compliance with legislation and statutory obligations.
  • The post holder will be required to work with all the Divisions within the Health Board and also engage with a range of statutory multi-agency partners and the Third Sector.
  • To drive and promote a positive violence reduction culture where our NHS colleagues feel supported, safe and secure at work.
  • To act as a subject matter expert on violence reduction and support on the implementation of national standards and guidance across the organisation.
